Osher Map Library

Visit

The Osher Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education at the University of Southern Maine welcomes all visitors to our Portland location. Visitors can schedule a research visit, plan to visit our gallery exhibits, or attend one of our programs. Those looking to schedule a group tour should either reach out to oml-usm@maine.edu or call (207) 780-4850.

Fall Hours

Effective Tuesday, August 26, 2025 – Wednesday, December 31, 2025

Sundays and Mondays: Closed

Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Please Note: If the University is closed due to inclement weather, the Osher Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education is also closed. All gallery and research appointments will be cancelled for that day.
