Alternative Title: Pin the flag on the Pole
Brief Description: Map game issued in the year Robert Peary and Frederick Cook both claimed to be the first to reach the North Pole. Included are twelve American flags meant to be cut out in order to pin them near the black spot which represents the North Pole. The players are blindfolded and the one who pins the closest to the spot wins. Cook lacked the evidence that he reached the Pole a year before Peary. Robert Peary's evidence was vague and some further doubt was placed on his claim when he withheld his logbooks and diaries. In 1911 an Act of Congress validated Peary's claim but the scientific community remained divided.
