Brief Description: Genealogical chart of major Biblical figures from Adam to the birth of Jesus Christ. It is superimposed on a large map of Europe, the Near East and North Africa and also features modern nations such as England, France and Prussia. The prime mover behind the chart's production was a Shaker brother, Alonzo Hollister whose goal was to demonstrate the continuity of Shaker theology with Scripture. He was an important voice in Shaker orthodoxy despite the many demographic and social changes around him which contributed to a decline in Shaker membership. His efforts failed leaving only one active Shaker community in Sabbathday Lake, Maine with a few members left.
