Brief Description: Promotional pictorial map for McCormick and Company promoting worldwide trade in spices, teas, coffee and flavorings. Features 32 flags, products produced by the company and an image of the food plant in Baltimore. Illustrations include natives picking tea, vanilla beans, coolies loading spices in India and the cultivation of mustard seed in Lincolnshire, England. Included are thirty-two flags but not the United States flag. A note on the map indicates that "The United States flag is not shown on this folder in accordance with the Flag Code of the National Americanism Commission of the American Legion which requests that the flag be omitted from any form of advertising."
Historical Context: McCormick & Company was founded in Baltimore in 1889 by Willoughby M. McCormick.
