Notes: Cordiform woodcut world map showing an expanded North America. It depicts America and Asia as one landmass. Girava based this map on a 1545 wall map by Caspar Vopell who is acknowledged in the legend below the map. This map also uses the same cordiform projection used on Martin Waldseemuller's 1507 wall map of the world. Figures on the map represent the old knowledge of astronomy and the new knowledge of geography. There are also several lusty windhead illustrations
