Brief Description: Promotional map showing the world wide trade in coffee, tea, spices and flavorings by McCormick and Company. Map features portraits of explorers who represent overland and sea exploration which developed the spice trade worldwide. The company was founded by Willoughby M. McCormick in Baltimore in 1889. In 1947 the company acquired Schilling & Company which enabled them to sell coffee, spices and extracts. Map features company buildings in Baltimore, San Francisco and Mexico City. Illustrations include tea and vanilla pickers and workers gathering raw spices. World flags surround the map and in the center is Fort McHenry in Baltimore where the Star Spangled Banner was composed.
