Brief Description: Map of the Washington, D.C. massive protest against the Vietnam war beginning on November 13th with an increase in protestors by November 15th. The march route from Arlington National Cemetery to the Capitol is indicated by dashed line marks. Included is a key indicating meeting centers, assembly area, rally site. On back cover is a list of restaurants, bookstores and social centers.
Historical Context: Vietnam War era protests against the war which involved the United States from 1961 to 1975. The protest was one of the largest with a total of 500,000 people, mostly youths whose generation was affected by the draft. The marchers heard speeches and performances by folk singer Pete Seeger, John Denver, Arlo Guthrie and Peter, Paul and Mary.
