Brief Description: Chromolithograph bird's-eye view of Chicago as a promotion and souvenir for the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893. The view sheds light on the architectural designs of architect Daniel Burnham and his neoclassical structures of white faux-stone facades known as the White City for their color. The "dream city" reflected the optimism of the exposition. The exposition celebrated the 400th anniversary of Columbus's discovery of America.
