Included on the survey are "great works" on the East River which refers to the Lock-Sluice Company dam. An 1835 petition described the dam preventing a "fish way" which affected the fishing industry. Also included is the location of Mason's Mills owned by Horatio Mason who purchased the land in the late 1700's adjacent to Toddy Brook (Pond). His son also constructed a mill at the brook. Featured on the survey is Orphan Island attached to the town of Bucksport which comes from an orphan heiress who inherited it as her part of the Waldo Patent. Also included is the location of Alamoosook Lake indicated on the survey that "Indians called this Alamasook River meaning at "the fish spawning place".
