Brief Description: Survey by Jonathan Fisher which includes a detailed handwritten description of the plan and land measurements. Jonathan Fisher was the first settled Congregational minister of Blue Hill. He was an artist, scientist, mathematician and surveyor. He wrote poetry, bound his own books and also helped to found the Bangor Theological Seminary. His many other talents included painting, reporting for the local newspaper and building his own home. Betsy (Elizabeth) Holt was married to Jeremiah Thorndike Holt, managing owner of three schooners and part owner of a store with his brother Jonah.
