Brief Description: Property surveys of the Small and Leighton families. Includes lot measurements of Elisha Small's and Benjamin Small's lots. Cherryfield was founded in 1757 and settled originally by Ichabod Willey and Samuel Colson. Willey served in the American Revolutionary War in 1778 and held the rank of Sargent in Co. Foster's Regiment. The town was later incorporated in 1816. Steuben is a town in Washington County incorporated in 1795. It was named after Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, the Inspector General of the U.S. Army during the American Revolutionary War.
