Brief Description: Map of Little Deer Isle, Maine showing land lots possibly owned by Shaderick Black and Amaziah Billings. Deer Isle was incorporated in January, 1789 and included Little Deer Isle, Isle au Haut and Sheep Island. Reuben George Washington Dodge may have been the surveyor. The Billings and Black families were some of the early families of Little Deer Isle. The island is in Penobscot Bay north of Deer Isle and is about four miles long.
