Brief Description: Card game illustrating some of the 1939 World's Fair buildings and exhibits. The object of the game is to secure a complete set of four cards. The winner is the player with the most sets. Included with the game are three pamphlets advertising other games: The Lone Ranger board game, a crossword card game and an automobile touring card game, all produced by Parker Brothers. The 1939 World's Fair was held at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York City from April 30, 1939 to October 27, 1940. Sixty-two nations participated in the fair which also included 35 states and territories, 1,400 organizations and companies. The opening coincided with the 150th anniversary of the first inauguration of George Washington. Four months into the fair, World War II began and some exhibits were forced to close.
