Brief Description: The St. Louis World's Fair celebrated the centennial of the Louisiana Purchase. The fair opened on April 30th and closed on December, 1904. Featured exhibits were cultural and entertainment and included displays of peoples from the Philippines, Alaskan Tlingit tribe and Apache Indians of the American Southwest. The stereograph shows American Indians very likely on their way through the fair. Their clothing is hand tinted and colored. Geronimo, a former Apache chief was also present at the fair at the Ethnology exhibit.
