Brief Description: A Dymaxion map projection, also known as a Fuller map projection, of the Earth. Invented by Buckminster Fuller, the map reduces shape and size distortions compared to other world map projections. Earlier versions of the map projection were on cuboctahedrons (a shape with triangular and square faces). In 1954, Fuller and cartographer Shoji Sadao produced a new map onto a convex icosahedron (a shape with 20 triangular faces) which depicts Earth's continents as a nearly contiguous land mass.
