Notes: Glass plate negatives taken by J. A. Waterman. Images depict Gorham, Kittery, Falmouth, Yarmouth, and Portland.This photo show's Josiah Pierce's house in Gorham (possibly on Main St.) Pierce was Waterman's maternal grandfather. Pierce, a native of Baldwin and graduate of Bowdoin College, moved to Gorham where he set up a law practice and was active in community affairs. He served for a time as Probate Court judge for Cumberland County.
