Physical Description: Deed printed and handwritten on vellum which includes a manuscript map of the 2000 acres granted to George Turner. Includes signature of Edmund Randolph, seventh governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1786 to 1788. Locations of Spruce Creek and Buzzard Creek are now part of West Virginia which separated from Virginia in 1860 prior to the American Civil War. The land was surveyed by Isaac Sidman. Assignes on the deed were William Macpherson and David Rynehart.
