Historical Context: Eavenson & Levering was founded in 1902 by Alban Eavenson and J. Walter Levering in Philadelphia. Scouring wool would make it possible to process into yarn. The firm moved to Camden, New Jersey in 1906 and rapidly expanded and incorporated in 1916.
