The map illustrates the diversity of territory dominated by European empires which after the war were divided into numerous smaller nations including Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Poland and Romania. Map includes 1910 census showing total populations of the German alliance which included Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey. Also included is a color key showing the diverse nationalities in the empires and a wrapper with a quote from President Woodrow Wilson's  address to the Congress of the Federation of Labour at Buffalo, November 12, 1917.
