Notes: 27 ink drawings and diagrams of military forts, surveys and plans by a trainee officer from the Ecole Imperiale Speciale Militaire founded by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802. The signature of the officer and the stamp of the military academy appear throughout. Also included is a water color portrait of a young woman on paper glued to a page with "Ed. Guirand del." below. Separate but within the volume is a hand drawn colored map of departments in Britanny with a handwritten description. Also included is a hand colored print of a military band "Fanfare de Dragons."
