Brief Description: Satirical lithograph depicting a German toad lookiing hungrily at the rose of France. Under the toad are skulls and two skeletons. The rose petals contain names of cities such as Paris, Nantes, Poitiers. Tancrede Synave was a French painter who was known for this portraits of Parisian high society women. Signed T. Synave 1915 and numbered 10/25 in pencil.
