Brief Description: This is a third example of a sampler made at the Cony Female Academy. The design is very similar to the pieces stitched by Dulcena Dunbar and Dolly Pollard, and establishes the longevity of the Academy's rose and vine border. Miss Swan (1814-?) was the daughter Benjamin Swan, one of Maine's leading clockmakers.
