Physical Description: Measurement is approximate. Map is constructed in sections and displays the curves of the railway. Engraved plan, hand-colored with numerous manuscript notations. The Watford and Edgware Railway Company was established in the 1860's to build a railway that would run between the two towns. The company failed to raise the necessary capital for construction. This map shows the full route and notes the owners of the land through which the railway was to pass. Includes purchases by the company and prices paid.
