Brief Description: Pen and ink map of Maine by Sarah N. Young, a student at Cony Female Academy. Highlights boundary lines, rivers and lakes in unsurveyed parts of Maine possibly drawn from Moses Greenleaf's 1815 map of the district of Maine. Cony Female Academy in Augusta was founded by Daniel Cony in 1816 providing free education to orphans and other girls under the age of 16. It later expanded into a co-ed high school.
