
We offer a variety of professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers during the summer months.
Educators of grades 5-12 are invited to reserve their place in our Summer Book Discussion Group (limited to 15 participants for each session). We will meet over Zoom in evening sessions to discuss ways to integrate graphic novels into Social Studies, Science, and English Language Arts curriculum. The sessions will be held in early August on weekdays from 6:30 – 8:00 PM.

Open to Middle and High School teachers looking to integrate maps into their curriculum, this paid fellowship will provide teachers with the time, skills, and access to cartographic primary resources necessary to conduct original research and develop programming for their classrooms.

Sense of Place and Mapmaking
Are you a K-12 Educator interested in introducing cartography into the classroom? Join us for a day-long intensive mapmaking workshop with artist and geographer Molly Brown of MollyMaps.
Date and Time: July 17th 2025 from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Registration is free, and this workshop is limited to 20 participants.
This event will be held in-person in the Cohen Educational Center, and materials and lunch will be provided.
