Brief Description: School girl atlas by Yvonne Labbe, a student at the Monastere des Ursulines in Standsead, Canada from 1911 to 1912. Handrawn maps include the United States, Europe, North and South America and Canada. Included is a map of Standsead with rail lines and local stations. The Ursuline monasteries of Canada date back to 1639 and were the first order of Catholic nuns to land in the New World. They educated native children, in particular girls who were taught reading, writing, embroidery, drawing and other domestic arts.
