The Osher Map Library is willing to accommodate educators who wish to design their own lessons using items in OML’s collections to be conducted at the library. Select original materials may be displayed for mature students in a secure room. Due to the limited size of the secure space, we are only able to offer this to small groups with less than twenty students.

While OML’s extensive collections provide countless possibilities for lesson topics, some of the more popular topics are listed below with links to maps.

Civil War | Revolutionary War | World War One | World War Two | Portland, Maine
19th Century Political Borders of U.S. | Border Wars & Disputes (U.S. – Canada – Mexico)
Colonial North America | American Indians: Wars, Treaties, Reservations, Etc.
Railroad Maps | Maps of Asia | Maps of Africa | Maps of Rivers and Lakes
